Biography
Jose Angelo Tiglao, AIGP, CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPT, FIP is an associate in the Intellectual Property, Data and Technology Practice Group at Quisumbing Torres. Angelo holds multiple certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), including Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe), Certified Information Privacy Manager, and Certified Information Privacy Technologist. He is also recognized as a Fellow of Information Privacy and an Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional. Currently, Angelo serves as the Co-chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Philippine Chapter and previously held the role of Assistant Corporate Secretary at the Licensing Executives Society Philippines. In addition, Angelo is a professor at De La Salle University School of Law, where he teaches several law subjects, including Statutory Construction and Intellectual Property Law.

Angelo has significant experience in managing data privacy and compliance initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, advising and assisting clients in enforcing and litigating their IP rights before courts and administrative agencies in the Philippines, and providing strategic legal guidance for clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
