Manila, Philippines, 27 June 2024 – Quisumbing Torres is proud to announce the promotion of Lara Camille A. Lee and Patrick Henry D. Salazar as partners in our Corporate & Commercial/M&A and Employment & Compensation Practice Group, respectively.

Lara is a key member of our Consumer Goods & Retail and Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry Groups, as well as the Competition Focus Group. With years of experience in advising and representing clients on various domestic and cross-border transactions, her expertise lies in matters related to corporate and commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring in the Philippines under Quisumbing Torres’ Corporate & Commercial/M&A Practice Group.

Her thought leadership has been recognized through her contributions to publications, including various M&A and corporate law-related legal updates, and the Asia Pacific Antitrust & Competition Handbook: Philippines, offering guidance on the competition law regimes in the Philippines and other 13 jurisdictions in Asia. It was developed to be a practical resource to support in-house teams in identifying potential antitrust risks in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Now a partner in the firm’s Employment Practice Group, Patrick has been specializing in labor standards compliance, employment investigations and terminations, employee transfers, labor disputes and litigation, employee mobility, occupational health and safety, and employment due diligence and transactional work. He also manages labor union matters, including collective bargaining negotiations. His expertise spans diverse industries such as healthcare, consumer goods, industrials, manufacturing, transportation, and technology.

Patrick actively engages as a speaker and presenter in regional and local seminars, and co-authored various employment-related legal updates, including the recent QT Employment Bulletin, which was recently launched in 2024. The quarterly newsletter provides employers and human resources practitioners with updates on Philippine employment regulations on a regular basis.

Lara is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, where she received her J.D. (Second honors) in 2013 and B.S. Legal Management in 2009. She ranked fifth in her batch upon graduation from the Ateneo de Manila Law School, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2014.

Patrick obtained his J.D. in 2012 where he graduated class valedictorian from the University of the Philippines - College of Law, and placed sixth in the 2012 bar examination. Previously, he attended the University of Santo Tomas (A.B. Legal Management) in 2008.

"We are delighted to welcome Lara and Patrick as partners of their respective practice groups at Quisumbing Torres. We wish them all the best in their future careers here in the firm," said Ramon Quisumbing, on behalf of the firm's Management Committee.
