Manila, Philippines, 18 October 2022 - Quisumbing Torres' (QT) Energy, Mining & Infrastructure Industry (EMI) Group Head Dennis Quintero was among a panel of thought leaders who joined the interactive discussions during the recently concluded World Clean Energy Conference Philippines Edition 2022. The event was organized by Global Zero Carbon Partnership and supported by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry and the Philippine Board of Investments. Over 300 foreign and local stakeholders from the renewable energy industry attended the two days of networking, education, and innovation for the industry.
"The Philippine banking system has a lot of liquidity to provide financing for clean energy projects. Government financing institutions (such as Development Bank of the Philippines and Land Bank of the Philippines) have set up loan programs for clean energy financing. Another source of funding, such as for feasibility studies and pilot projects, is thru grants of foreign government assistance agencies which are increasingly becoming active in the financing sphere to pursue development goals." Dennis highlighted during the panel discussion on Funding & Financing your Clean Energy Projects in the Philippines.
The panel discussion was chaired by Sci. Dpl. Glenn Banaguas who acts as chairman of the ASEAN Science Diplomats, president of the Environmental and Climate Change Research Institute and executive director of the Philippine Council for Foreign Relations. Dennis was among other session panelists including David Evangelista (Senior AVP for Business Development, Vivant Corporation), May Militante (Chief Public Officer and Business Development Officer, MRC Allied Inc.).
